Salvador Dalí – Extravagance with a moustache

No, a lack of self-confidence is certainly not something one associates with the Spanish artist Salvador Dalí – even though he was rather shy in his younger years. He, who styled himself as one of the main representatives of surrealism and around whom many curious stories revolve, was accompanied on his path to fame by his wife and muse Gala. He also immortalised her in some of his paintings of the subconscious. Immerse yourself in the dream images of the man with the moustache…

When: Tuesday, 22 October 2024, 7.00 pm

Where: Kunstraum Gerdi Gutperle

This time, Yvonne Weber surprises us with an insight into the life of the world-famous artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, a globetrotter when it comes to art. The Austrian Friedrich Stowasser, who is much better known under his self-created name Friedensreich Hundertwasser, was an artist, loner, philanthropist – and a globetrotter. Even at school, he was said to have an ‘extraordinary sense of form and colour’, which he used in his paintings as well as in his famous houses. Straight lines and symmetry were anathema to him. A lecture about a truly exciting artist’s life…
